Fountain Effect

I have used Super Spray in the Particle System to  make the particles in shape of the fountain ,then used Gravity and Deflector.

Particles

Particles  simulates the motion of large number of objects and are terrific  for all sorts of Water, Rain,Fountain, Sparks etc.In 3ds Max  there are several types of particle systems.Basic Particle System allow for simple simulation such as a spray or cloud of particles. You can effect them by applying Forces on them.

Shattering Glass

Hi Friends,
This effect is not as simple to make as seems to be. I have used Particle System  for blasting, Gravity &  Deflector for bouncing the broken pieces.

Grabbing a Viewport Image

Hi Friends,
Today I  would like to share a very cool feature  with u guyz i.e how to grab an image of the viewport by using Tools-- Grab viewport. Before grabbing the image, it will ask you to add a label to the grabbed image.

Tip of the day

Hi Friends,
Sometimes your shapes or splines can not be extruded, lofted or lathed The reason may be that the shapes are intersecting.Just use  the Shape check Utility option  from the Utility Panel and click More button, Now select Shape Check from the list & ok.
If there is any intersection points , they will be displayed as red squares. If the shape doesn't have any intersections , then the response field reports "shape ok".

Tips of the day

Sometimes all your Vertexes disappear during modeling of an object. To fix this problem try the following options:

a) Convert your object again to an editable poly.

b) Convert your object to an editable mesh and then to an editable poly.

c) Save the file, Exit from 3Ds max and open again the file.

d) Save the file, Exit from 3Ds max and merge the object in a new file.

Surface Deviation

Hi Friends,
Tip for those who are used to make their 3d models in Autocad and  importing  that  dwg in 3ds Max, but the curves are not smooth in the 3ds model.  while importing the file Don't keep the value of the surface deviation  too high, put it to 0.1 then the surface will be  smooth after importing the .dwg.

surface deviation value = 1
surface deviation value = .1
And if you want to  smooth out the faces of 3d use the smooth modifier.

multires modifier

You can also try the multires modifier to decrease the number of vertices and polygons & faster rendering & reduces the memory. it lets you specify a percentage of the
original amount of vertices that you want to keep.

Optimize Modifier

If you intend to  decrease vertices of a 3d object or simplify complex objects, and want to speed up rendering, Optimize modifier is the right choice.
Optimize simplifies a smooth model with a high number of faces without greatly changing the model’s appearance.
Just change the thresholds & Switch on edged faces and you should be able to see what it does.
