Vertex Weld Modifier
Vertex Weld modifier is a simple modifier that welds all vertices within a certain Threshold value. This is a convenient modifier for cleaning up mesh objects.

How to Flip Normals
Almost all the 3d format files which we import are in mesh formats and importing mesh objects sometimes can create problems like black faces or pointing normals in wrong direction.
To clean up this problem :-
1.Just select the element or polygon of the problem object .
2. Now select the Show Normals option & set the Scale value to a small number such as 0.1.in the Selection rollout.
3. The normals are visible. some of them points are inward & some points outwards.
4.With the element subobject still selected, click the unify button in the Surface Properties rollout and the click the Flip button until all normals are pointing outward.

STL Check Modifier
The STL Check modifier checks a model in preperation for exporting it to the StereoLithography (STL Format).
STL files require a closed surface. Geometry with holes or gaps can cause problems.Any problem are reported in the Status area of the parameter rollout. This modifier can check for several common errors like Open Edge, double Face, Spike, or Multiple Edge.

Normal Modifier
Hi friends
When you import some objects , sometimes their normals can become erratic producing holes in the geometry .
By unifying and flipping the normals , you can restore an object's consistency.Use the Normal modifier with both Unify and Flip turned on .
